Capacity Building Research Project: The Intersection of Race and Disability

About Our Study

The ASE Community is conducting a Canadawide environmental scan to identify organizations and programs supporting Black, racialized, ethno-cultural, refugee/immigrant persons with disabilities.

The purpose of this study is to understand the needs and barriers faced by organizations serving this population, identify resources and best practices, and create a network/community of practice among organizations serving this population.

There are three stages for stakeholder participation, including program staff, managers, and volunteers.

This project is in collaboration with Employment and Social Development Canada.
